Kleenex is Evil!
Did you know that Kimberley-clark (Kleenex) is destroying our boreal forest every year to make facial tissues?
“KLEENEX Facial Tissue is made from 100 per cent virgin fibre and contains no recycled fibre. Virgin fibre is used in our tissue because it provides the superior softness consumers expect from a premium facial tissue product.”
This is unacceptable! I strongly recommand you to start using tissues made with 100% recycled fibre! A good company is Cascade who’s involved in recycling and takes care of the environment since 1950!

I agree with you. Yesterday I was at the supper market and I had problems finding tissues that were made of recycled paper! Not only in tissues but bathroom tissues and scott towels look a like are hard to find. I was pretty angry at the fact that even if you want to purchase recycled tissues you might not even find some.

That is so true!
I was at metro last day trying to find some… NONE, i even called at the number behind a box of merit selection facial tissues, they told me that they have a brand econochoice that is made from 100% recycled fibre, however, they didnt have any at this store. They also told me that merit selection facial tissues contain some recycled fibre, but i just found out on greenpeace.ca that its not true!
I wonder if the big brands like kleenex are secretly paying them to not display anything about recycled fibre and pulp on their boxes. Or worse, to not sell them at all, like the econo choix…
You can consult the Greenpeace Tissue Product Shopper’s Guide at http://www.greenpeace.ca/tissue/ that should help :)

Just found out, reading the guide, that econochoice does recycled toilet paper, paper towels and napkins but no facial tissues. Im almost sure kleenex is behind that! (i know im paranoid hehe)

I guess Falk red my blog, today i found some econochoice facial tissues at that metro. But there is no way to know if its really from recycled fibre, nothing is written on the box :O
